Craig as Bond

Daniel Craig

Born in Cheshire, England, the latest James Bond has been interested in acting since the age of 6. In-fact, the actor wasted no time in auditioning for school plays. By 14, Craig had started obtaining roles in school performances such as “Romeo and Juliet” and “Oliver.” The school plays were enough to inspire a lifelong passion for the theatre and the future Bond left school to join the National Youth Theatre. With the troupe Craig toured Russia and Spain, and finally in 1988, he gained admission to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama at the Barbican.Roughly four years later and Craig made his first film appearance; The Power of One. From there, the actor’s career took off, landing him multiple television roles, and later, positions in Road to Perdition (2002), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), and Munich (2005).Craig’s biggest role would be offered to him in 2005. The future bond faced a lot of criticism for accepting the role. Craig is the only blonde actor to have portrayed Bond, which gives a new look to the 007 character. However, despite multiple criticisms, Craig has prevailed and several of the previous Bonds (including Sean Connery and Roger Moore) agree that he is a great choice for the 007 role.
